Simola is built high on a ridge overlooking 13 of the 18 holes of our Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. The Hotel was designed to make best advantage of its amazing vistas over Knysna, the Knysna Lagoon and the Indian Ocean in the distance.

Simola Accommodation
Simola Hotel Country Club and Spa offers luxury, five-star accommodation in Knysna for up to 160 guests in 40 stylish, yet comfortable suites. With uninterrupted views of the estuary, famous Knysna Heads and the Indian Ocean beyond, the Knysna River valley or the Outeniqua Mountains, our hotel has been designed to make the most of the truly spectacular site and its unparalleled natural surroundings.
Our suites are set in private blocks separate from the communal areas such as the restaurant, spa and gym, ensuring your privacy in a personal haven of peace and tranquillity. It also creates a welcome break between business and ‘home’ during conferences and other corporate events.
Our Executive Suites have been cleverly designed to allow for separation into a Luxury Suite or Standard Room, which means that Simola’s accommodation is ideally suited to families, couples, singles, wedding parties, tour groups or business travellers.
We offer an airport shuttle service, laundry service, and rooms are serviced daily.
Each 145 m2, luxuriously appointed suite has:

Simola Dining
Our beautiful and elegant Club House is open for meals & drinks from 10h30am to 10pm daily. Our Bistro style Club Lounge offers a relaxed dining experience, and boasts unbeatable views over our Jack Nicklaus Golf Course and the Knysna Heads.
The Simola Club Bar is a great space to meet up with friends after your round of Golf on our award winning Jack Nicklaus Course. Offering a vibrant atmosphere, our bar offers ice-cold beers on tap and an array of beverages to suit all our guests discerning tastes. The Club Lounge is the perfect venue for dining around the fire-place, and watching the sunset.
The Lungalo fine dining restaurant at the Simola Hotel, Country Club & Spa boasts an excellent, satisfying, bistro-style menu - and a unique, glass-walled wine cellar that was designed to take best advantage of the views. The Lungalo restaurant serves buffet breakfasts and delectable a la carte dining while Sir Roy’s Bar, the Club Bar, The Pool Bar with majestic views of Knysna , and Club Lounge all serve drinks, cocktails, lunches and light meals at various times throughout the day.
Simola Conferencing & Functions
Forest View Room - Perfect for conferences, meetings, banquets, weddings, etc. Seats up to 180 delegates. Large windows provide views of the Gouna Forest and Outeniqua Mountains.
