Situated at the foot of the Robinson Pass, we offer spectacular mountain views. Not only do our guests enjoy the luxurious Victorian-style self-catering units, they are also given the opportunity to interact with the majestic, regal heavy draft horses that we breed and protect on the farm.
Accommodation at Outeniqua Moon Guest Farm
There are 4 spacious self-catering suites elegantly decorated with accommodation choices and rooms to suite between 2 and 5 persons.
We provide self-catering or fully-catered accommodation; there is a breakfast and dinner menu available. Pets are welcome but both must be arranged prior to arrival. Please note that children under the age of three, are free of charge.
Free Wi-Fi is available in all suites and the main buildings. Satellite/DSTV package is available in all suites.
The Honeymoon Suite
Sleeping 2 adults, this charming first floor self catering unit contains a queen size, four poster bed. The private bathroom has a Victorian slipper bath, toilet, wash basin and stand alone shower. It has a huge private veranda with a table, chairs and a massive couch. This Exclusive romantic getaway includes a three course dinner served in the Honeymoon Suite as well as a romantic carriage ride from our majestic horses. You choose your menu for two before arrival.
The Cottage
The Cottage sleeps five. It is a free-standing two bedroom, one bathroom, spacious self-catering unit with an open plan kitchenette, dining table and lounge area. The main bedroom contains a king size bed (or two single beds) while the second bedroom contains one single bed and a bunk bed. The private bathroom has a Victorian style bath, toilet, wash basin and stand alone shower. The Cottage has it’s own outdoor patio with table and chairs.
The Blue Suite
This charming one-bedroom suite sleeps two people and can be altered to fit either a king-sized bed or two single beds. A bed (or cot) can be provided in the lounge area for a child. The Blue Suite is a self-catering unit with an open plan kitchenette and living area. The private bathroom has a giant Victorian slipper bath, toilet, washbasin, and stand-alone shower. The Blue Suite has its own outdoor covered patio with table and chairs.
The Family Suite
The Family Suite sleeps five. It is a two bedroom one bathroom, spacious self catering unit with an open plan kitchenette, dining table and lounge area. The main bedroom contains a king size bed (or two single beds) while the second bedroom contains a single beds and a bunk bed. The private bathroom has a Victorian slipper bath, toilet, wash basin and stand alone shower. The Family Suite has it’s own outdoor patio with table and chairs. Braai area is available in the garden.
Activities at Outeniqua Moon Guest Farm
Scenic Carriage Rides
Round the top of the farm and to the view point, the horse does three gallop sections with the carriage which is safe and exhilarating; however if you don’t want a fast ride we have a gorgeous fat, mare who is far more sedate. Duration of the ride is 40 minutes.
Tour of the Herd
We guide you around all the top horse paddocks and you get to see all the mares, young stock and geldings and you can get close-up and personal with most of these delightful loving horses.
Our stallions are stunning, and you get to sit on the biggest horse in SA – a huge stallion named Shadowfax who weighs 1250 kgs and is a gentle giant

In the serene garden there is a 25-metre-long ozone (chlorine free) swimming pool with a kids’ water slide, a trampoline, and inviting picnic or braai (barbeque) facilities. And what’s more – your children can delight in the children’s playground!
