King Shaka Day

King Shaka Day

Every year on 24th September (SA national holiday Heritage Day) the Zulu nation gathers in a number of places to celebrate the life of King Shaka kaSenzagakhona, the founding father of the Zulu nation. The ceremony is usually at Dukuza/Stanger. People come in groups from all over the Zulu Kingdom to hear the Zulu Kings address. Very colourful and happy event.
